The Morning After

I am a firm believer in letting loose and having fun celebrating with friends by your side enjoying laughs and each others company. Sometimes this takes place and you may find yourself into the wee hours of the morning and maybe a few beverages later. Well Yesterday was Doug's Birthday and we went bowling with the kids, somehow even with bumpers up Hunter still managed a gutter ball. We had dinner at Boston Pizza. Hunter managed to have 3 time outs where I had to take to the hallway and stand there with him until he was ready to regroup. Feeling a little frazzled after a not so calm dinner we headed home for some of my home made Brownies in Carmel sauce and Presents. The kids went to bed a little later then usually probably from there sugar coco infused evening. Our third wheel showed up for some birthday drinks. We enjoyed our night and before we knew it I remember thinking we better go to bed or we are really going to regret this when our children come bounding in our room in the morning with a unwelcome wake up call. A few short hours of sleep and its the dreaded morning after (I really wish they made a pill for that). I decided that if you have fun evening no mater how fun it cant take away form the children time the next day, So I put my big girl panties on and dealt with it. I made a breakfast of champions eggs, Bacon, toast, home fries and up we got and out we went. My Husband and I we pretty proud despite the fog in our head and the serious lack of motivation we got up walked the dog, played at the park, drove to the beaches played at the beach had lunch and came home at 3pm for some much needed down time, after all we are not superheros we still needed down time.
I believe live life and have fun but don't let the fun get in the way of your beautiful moments like time with the kids, even the big kids.
